GUI in process!

Hi everyone, Sismicious here.
I was recently busy working on UI!
Yup, everything needed to be done again to be as fancy as the rest for V2. Also, we thought about new options and possibilities, so I had to come up with something more flexible and user friendly. Here is a preview of what it'll look like :

As you can see, it's now clearer, more organized and intuitive. This menu will be located on the right of the screen, and its content will change depending on the place you are. On the bottom of the menu will be a big round button, always validating the choice you'll make in the menu. This way you won't have to search for it!

Also, I worked on some small illustrations to add diversity and quality for some screens. For example, when you make your girls work on the streets, you have to choose where you want to make them go. There are the slums, a back alley, the Bar... etc. Now you'll have a small picture to show you how it looks.

Same goes for the food.
Not a gameplay feature, but a small bonus addition ;)

Also, a noticeable change :

The mood of the girls are currently displayed with a smiley face. We're planning to change it for a clearer system with a mood bar, showing by the placement of its cursor if your girl is happy or not. As it will have an influence on the game in the future, it's more understandable.

There are also lots of little things in the making, but I'll let you find out by yourselves once the new version is released!

Thanks for supporting us, and thanks for playing Strumpets!

  1. Here's an idea: how about replacing trait names with little quirky square icons instead of full text names? The names themselves with the trait description included would appear once you hover over them.
With enough variation in design and color the player would quickly grasp which traits are desireable just by a quick glance on a girl's stats.

Wait, I just took a second look at the screen. This seems to be EXACTLY what you intend to implement for skills, judging by the empty square-like spots. Why not traits as well, then?

    1. Yes, the skills will be as you described. I didn't make the same for traits because they are more important currently (for the brothel for example) and it's easier and quicker to see them as text. Plus there will be 3 traits per girl max, so it doesn't bother much to have 3 lines of text on the screen. It would not be intuitive to have everything hidden behind graphics.

  2. So, this might just be me, but please tell me you'll be making the small interface in the upper left corner bigger, in your current v2 beta it's a bit too small for comfort.

    1. Not planned at the moment, but if we get a lot of people asking for it I'll change it. I also need to see how it lives with the full UI implemented.

    2. You know what? before you change anything just answer me this one question, how big is the game supposed to be(pixel wise)? cause it might not the that the interface is too small, it might be chrome and Firefox applying your blog template to my screen resolution and making the embedded game occupy a smaller percentage of the screen then it's meant to. My current screen resolution is 1366X768 and the game is around 500 tall.

  3. Thank you for the game.It took me a while to find out how to get the latest version. Please make it easy link to a guide on how to get it. I got it through Kimochi and not sure if there is another way. The other links seem to have old versions.

    Few Suggestions/bugs(?):
    1) Your character does not strip if she has clothes when working the back street at the start.
    2) Version number on the main window
    3) An ability to change characters mood. Maybe characters expression changes according to mood.
4)A way to export/import the save to a file.
